Hamiltunes: An American Sing-a-long

  • FRIDAY, AUGUST 16 @ 7:00 PM

  • SATURDAY, AUGUST 17 @ 7:00 PM

  • SUNDAY, AUGUST 18 @ 2:00 PM

Hamiltunes returns to the Prima stage! Be sure to bring the Hamilton musical fan in your life to this raucous party as professional and community performers of all ages lead guests in songs like “My Shot,” “Wait for It,” and “The Room Where it Happens.”

Hamiltunes is a Sing-A-Long concert experience with live singers and projected lyrics. Want to be a revolutionary? You can join the fun on stage and be considered to lead a solo by sending a video submission of 60-seconds from a Hamilton song to sara@primalancaster.org by June 30.

Hamiltunes is made possible by special arrangement with Hamilton Uptown LLC. Proceeds (beyond event production costs) benefit the Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History.

Summer Sing-A-longs package

With the Summer Sing-A-Long Package, you'll join Prima for all three “Summer Sing-A-Longs” supported by Lamphouse Films. Belt out tunes as you enjoy the film of The Greatest Showman, don your pink jackets and grease up your hair during the Grease Sing-A-Long, and join the party as professional and community performers lead guests in your favorite songs from Hamilton in Hamiltunes: An American Sing-A-Long.

Will there be live performers at each show?

The Greatest Showman and Grease sing-a-longs will include the film with subtitles. These experiences do not involve live singers leading songs. However, a live pre-show “warm up” does occur before the film, making for an interactive experience for all! Hamiltunes is a Sing-A-Long concert that does include live singers and projected lyrics.

Are the Sing-A-Longs suitable for kids?

The Greatest Showman is rated PG. Grease (Sing-A-Long version) is rated PG-13. If interested in learning more, both movies and their soundtracks (as well as Hamilton’s Cast Recording) are available online for parents/guardians to review before attending the performances. The pre-show experiences at The Greatest Showman and Grease will be family-friendly.

Should I dress up in costume for The Greatest Showman and Grease?

Yes! Although dressing up in The Greatest Showman/Grease-related costume is not required, it is highly encouraged. There will be costume contests at each sing-a-long film for the best dressed.
